Ch. 13. "Something Little Will Turn Out to Be Big"

Chapter 13 is about Amy's birthday party at her Aunt Clare's house.  Amy's not happy that her little sister is going to join her at her party because she was supposed to go with her Mom, somewhere.  It turns out to be alright.  Amy's sister, Louann was very nice at the party and Amy was worried for no reason.  Throughout the chapter my connections centered around Louann and my daughter Claire.

Text to self:  Claire loves her dollhouse just as Louann loves the dollhouse in the attic.

Text to world:  I can imagine there are many young children that torture their older brothers and sisters for a living.  That's just part of their job.

Text to Text:  Delrita from the book, The Man Who Loved Clowns, was embarrassed and ashamed of her uncle Punky.  Amy from the book, The Dollhouse Murders, is embarrassed and ashamed of her little sister Louann.  I predict this sense of shame and embarrassment will lessen as the story progresses, just as it did for Delrita in The Man Who Loved Clowns.  As people got to know Punky, Delrita realized that she didn't need to be embarrassed by his actions.
