Ch. 4 We love you very, very, much. You know.

I predict that Amy feels left out and unloved.  Aunt Clare explains to her that she is not alone.

Text to World:  On page 29 the author writes, "I'm going to stay with my aunt for a while.  It's on the way to Rainbow Falls-North of town." This made me think of the Grand Falls just south of Joplin.  It's a neat place.  It has a lot of places to fish or swim, although, I don't think I would get into the water.  But anyhow, its a great place to take a minute and unwind or just take in some nature.

Character analysis:  Louann must feel very lonely.  The one person she wants to be with the most just wants a break from her.  I can understand needing a break from someone, but that has to hurt.  Louann is a younger sister and she needs her older sister to want to spend time with her.  It's tough.

  1. Mr. Wilcox I think I know those falls you're talking about. They are a very great place. Once I saw a person jump off the top of the waterfall into the water! I don't blame you for not wanting to get in. Usually it is very chilly! Louann just wants a friend and I get that. But sometimes when my siblings just want to play with me but I want a break I feel overwhelmed. Then they aren't happy but you have to make room for others AND yourself. Great prediction I think it was amazing that you thought of that.
